I crashed after a jump and the kite (6m park) falls flat on the water with the leading edgde facing towards me.

It occurred to me twice...
First time i happend, i started pulling a steering line and it started a deathloop
Second time it happend, i just pulled the QR and did the self rescue

1 - How did this happen ?
2 - How do i fix this ?
3 - What can i do to prevent this situation ?

It's called Hindenburging.

Happens when you end up downwind of the kite with it high in the window.

You have to learn to redirect the kite back toward your direction of travel harder.

Next time it happens just wait for the kite to drift down wind and perhaps swim toward one side to assist it in correcting itself. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.
