Ok maybe I am just getting old, pushing 60 but. When you are tired at the end of a session don't try new tricks.
I was working on a thing, I don't know what to call it, but it is a double back rotation jump transition with downloop. Going left I have landed some real nice ones, but today I thought, "Time to pack it in", on my way back to the launch spot, I thought I would try my first one in the opposite direction.
Now, I can't kite for a few weeks because of broken ribs. I got slammed!

What was the height ? Do you wear inpact west ?
Yes, end of session always is risky for mistakes. Especially what is related with loops.

No need for photo, we can't see your broken ribs....
Yeah, the photo isn't necessary. But I think I see your broken ribs on the right side of the photo.....where your rib cage is indented? Looks like the spot to me????? Sorry to hear. And yes, I agree with your take-away......we get sloppy at the end of a session.

When we are tired both mentally and physically we are prone to make mistakes. Save the end of the session for some easy riding. I usually know it's time to come in when I miss a transition.

To answer questions.
The broken rib/s are quite visible on the right hand side of the photo, my left, just next to my elbow.
No impact vest.
Kite was an Edge 9
The take away for me is.
I must balance my good direction to bad, or forget about bad direction. When I know i'm getting sloppy, stop, go home and kite another day.
Sorry to upset you if you think the photo is too explicit.
