5th line safety knots?

Postby B19 ELS » Wed May 01, 2019 11:23 am

Hi guys, I have bought a second hand F One Breeze 2017 and want to add a 5th line on the pump attachment to use with a 5 line bar.

The attachment is sewn in and solid.

What is the best knot to tie to the pump loop and the other spliced end with have some sort of knot to attack 5line larks head. What knot should I use?

You need to sleeve or add a pigtail to make a knot on the end of a Dyneema flying line. Otherwise the knot will be too small and lose around 70% breaking strength.

If your pump-attachment is a loop you can just loop-loop a noseline to it and leave that attached. Then make the 5ft line on the bar equal length to the rest and anjust the tension on the nose line.
