I would also include South of Brazil - November to March - Specially for kitewave, but also freestyle in flatwater lagoons. Florianopolis, Ibiraquera, Farol de Santa Marta, Praia Brava... countless beach breaks, and really, really gorgeous girls
Going further south almost the entire the coast of Rio grande do Sul, there is even a farm called Kite+ with dozen of fresh water lakes in a city called Osorio, definitely worth to be checked!
Agree 100%... Iberaquera is awesome. Novo Campeche in Floripa as well.

Sri Lanka is rocking in August.
Have you had any problems with dangerous animals like snakes etc?
I have a business trip to Sri Lanka in late August and it would be great to spend some days with my wife at these beaches.
She´s kind of scared.

I would add Sri Lanka as the wind destination in December, January, February.
Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka - Dec, Jan, Feb
Ahangama, Sri Lanka - Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar
Also the south coast (Fonte da Telha) and north of Lisbon, Portugal is working well from April up till November / December .

Lack of air travel, even being not able to leave your country is going to mean some serious exploring of our own back yard!

Surprised Provo, TCI was not mentioned at all in this topic. The place is amazing (although pricey) and very easy to reach from almost anywhere in North America. Windy months include Jan, Feb, May, July, August.

If it's anything like the rest of the South Pacific then trade winds = 15-20 knots. If you're lucky then maybe up to 25 if there is a weather system moving through over a few days.
Regardless this place looks like paradise.
