Four of us (2 couples) want to travel from the US (DC area) to somewhere warm and windy after Christmas. We'll bring the wives so a place where they can sit on the beach, at our lodging, and watch us kite would be ideal.
Cabarete of course comes to mine but we're finding expensive air fare to DR that time of year.
Any suggestions? We were hoping to find a cheaper alternative to the holiday snowboarding trip we normally do. Guys get to kite. Girls get warm sandy beaches.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks,

todd, check prices for caracas flights from there 20 minutes to los roques kite and diving/snorkeling paradise, most beautiful beaches in venezuela, shortc rossings in many small islands and sand bars, chill out beach bars great sea food.
