Barbados: Wind strength and forecast levels

I am thinking of going to Barbados in March. I've been looking at the Windguru forecasts for the past month and have been impressed by how consistently they are above 20 knots. Yet the actual wind measurements from ikitesurf and windfinder seem much lower. And I also read somewhere that Barbados is not a "strong wind" destination. Anybody knows if the Windguru forecasts for Barbados (Silver Rock) are for some reason "artificially" higher than for other locations - or if the measurements are artificially low? If someone has been in Barbados during the past few weeks and could comment on the actual wind (vs. the forecasts) I would greatly appreciate it.
