Where to go kitesurfing in May in Europe

I would like go kitesurfing in May with my Family ( we have two children - 1&3 years old). Could you give me some tips in Europe please? (Croatia, Italy, France...) We prefer warmer climate.

Cagliari in Italy is a great place to kite and its warm!
I will be there in May for a kite race championship

Hi,
When my kids were that age we used to go to Rhodes for about 5 years running, there is a place called Prasonisi which is an amazing little place with very consistant wind and very warm waters.
We used to stay in the Kiotari Bay hotel on Rhodes island and I used to drive to prasonisi every afternoon (half hour drive).
Check it out on google, you can park your car on the sand and get out and rig up, it really is a special unique location.

I don't think France would work that time of year, the only other options I have encountered are Guincho in Portugal, (waves) and Tarifa in spain (flat)

I´m thinking in The Netherlands in May is chilly wather. What's your experience?

I know Prasonisi it´s very nice place - but we wont go by car...Rhodes by car is realy far off.

First tip was Cagliari. I´m seeing to maps and not to far from Cagliari is Corsica.
Corsica has nice nature and it´s important especially for my wife

Do you have experience with Corsica in May? I found avg temperature 20°C water and air.

If you want to go Italy then i suggest Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia. Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia is main kitesurfing spot of Italy is located in the second largest island. Viganj is one of the most known windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in Croatia. Because it is situated in the middle of a narrow channel between Peljesac and Korcula, the winds tend to blow twice as fast as it usually does in the Adriatic.The best month wit wind are APRIL,MAY,JUNE,JULY,AUGUST,SEPTEMBER,
Everd day the wind starts abou 2pm till sunset, sometime its starts in the morning (10:00)
iganj today has become a favorite meeting spot for wind and kitesurfers from all over Europe and world. Sea channel between Pelješac and Korčula and the wind that blows in it provides ideal conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Such conditions are due to his position at the narrowest part of Pelješac channel due which when the wind blows gets multiple acceleration.Viganj today has become a favorite meeting spot for wind and kitesurferS. In the summer, mistral(northwest) is blowing and this wind is the best for enjoyments in this sports, his virtue is a constancy and a small wave, which enables the achievement of adrenaline speed!

Mistral usually starts around 12am and lifts up, at the right speed from 02pm to 08pm, the average strength reaches 5 beauforts, and if you are happy, up to 8!

I was thinking about Sicily / Marsala on May/June. I think its quite nice there on this time? any opinions?

In Croatia I was one @ Blace / Neretva flat spot. I was not kiting then but it was not that crowded and really 'paradise lookin' Have to go back there some day!

I've been to both Rhodes, Greece and Sousse, Tunisia in may month. They're both typically tourist spots, but also great for kitesurfing! Bring your family, they will love it You'll find hotels in all price ranges.
