Looking to do a kiteboard trip in the next two weeks. Flexible dates and locations. Was planning on La Ventana, but the forecast looks a little shaky. Any suggestions? Leaving from SLC, thinking the Carribean is my best option. Looking for flat water as I am still a beginner. Any suggestions?

Jbrook, are the forecasts on local wind sites reliable for the Playa area? Coming down in 3 weeks and trying to decide what to bring.

This year with EL Nino the forecast are a little under what it has been blowing in Cancun and Isla Blanca. On SE Playa is good.

so how was the experience? surprised to see south padre not make the recommended list, it was windy here (still is). and hotels are 30 - 70/night. and flights are cheap on SW which doesnt charge for gear.
