Alvor, Algarve in September - October?

Hi.
I am planning to spend two weeks in Lagos, Algarve at the end of September - beginning of October. I am a beginner, can (sort of) ride downwind but find it very difficult to deal with waves and would like to gain some experience and confidence in flat water.
I gather a good spot for my abilities could be Alvor.
How reliable is the wind at this time of the year? Shall I carry all my kites (7m Flexifoil Proton, 9m Liquid Force Envy and 11m Best Cabo) or I could leave one/two of them home?
Any advice would be appreciated.
