I've been to Barbados for 2 weeks and stayed on South coast very near Brian's action center and silver Sands beach. I was with wife and 9 year old boy. Best thing was the surfers bar and restaurant 100m away. Easy surf 3km away at Freights. Kitesurfing was so-so and tons of sargasso sea weed clogging the water, unpredictable wind. Great snorkeling with turtles. Functioning island, but you'll need a car. I could stay 2-3 months if I had the chance.
