Postby Theboy » Sun Jan 06, 2019 2:27 pm

Hi riders :)

I would like to ask, if someone have experiences from Koh Phangan kitesurfing spot
Where is the best beach area and is march good date ?
Is that good idea to be on this spot 17 days or its boring in there ? Its easy to move from there for some trips around ?
My kites are : 9, 12, 15,

Thanx a lot :)
J.

Never been there, but I heard that’s not windy in that part of year (thermal wind season) because the size of the island is small for thermal to work properly. Hua hin area and Pak nam pran are really good in that part of year. You can stop there for couple of days on your way to Koh phangan.

I was there in March 2014. Not so windy but it's a great place to kite. Huge uncrowded flat playground :)
There are some kite schools on south coast, east from the harbour.
At least take your biggest kites/boards with you

I was there in Sept 2018. Light wind... Was there during the end of the monsoon season...Had a blast...stayed at Lime and Soda near the harbor. The KBA staff was out standing to chill with .They fixed my bladder one day..a great crew.
Take big kites..If you have a foil...thats the best. Rent a motor scooter and tour the island...eat the food...chill...
