Finally scored myself a one-week trip to Fuerte this summer. Advanced kiter, dedicated to strapless in the waves. Traveling solo and looking for your fun, practical recommendations to stay. I do speak Spanish.
I’m a 29 year old guy and hope to be where the action is. Somewhere in Corralejo. I will have all my gear with me, so a tad nervous about choosing a hostel. Is theft a big thing in Fuerte - as it is in mainland Spain?
Also, where do all the surfer chicas hang out?

Hi Jaco,
Theft is not a major problem here on Fuerte, but is still wise to be careful with your gear and belongings.
Never leave stuff visible in the car.
Do not hide your car key on your wheel or anywhere easy for someone to find, also those keylock boxes are something thieves look for here on rental cars, much easier to steal the entire car instead of breaking into it at the spot.
If you are into proper waves you should check out Majanicho on the North Shore. This is where you will most likely find decent waves in the summer months. Most other Spots will be flat.
