I’ll be in the keys (Islamorada) next week to see family, is it worthwhile to bring a foilboard? I’ll have limited access to a car, and no access to a boat. Does it get deep enough off the beach for a full length mast? Any kiting restrictions?

Try upwind kiteboarding in Key West, they are big into foiling also

In key west there’s an older resort on the western shore that’s known for its launch. When I was down there didn’t seem like it was deep enough unless you times the tide right.

i wouldnt bother trying to foil, it's super shallow most places. probably wouldn't bring kite gear either, check the forecast before you leave because this time of year is when the wind starts to totally die in FL

Don’t listen to Dylan, he’s just a pessimist...it was 25 knots yesterday out of the south and 20 knots today on the west coast, wind dies tomorrow and comes back on Monday, 12 knots with shorebreak and a surf foil is a blast in Florida
