Nicaragua and caribbean coast

Postby pascal409 » Wed May 29, 2019 6:32 pm

Hello,

Hi, I practice kitesurfing in Nicaragua. we have good spots still empty.

we can practice kitesurfing on the beaches and islands of the Caribbean, and also on the great lake of Nicaragua and the island of Ometepe

I made a web page with information for those who want to come and visit nicaragua

kitesurfnicaragua.org

Best

Pascal

while i love the people and especially nicas..(extremely underrated chicas imo... my 2nd fav after colombianas)
...i've never found kitesurfing there appealing.

lake managua is probably the most polluted spot in the americas...and is connected to lake nicaragua by river. (lake nicaragua is also unusually sharky near rivers)

why would one play in the waters in nicaragua when right across the border you have salinas bay/copal in costa rica(much less pollution and excellent wind in-season)?

Hello,

Personally, I practice kitesurfing only in the Caribbean Sea, where we have clean water. My favourite spots are corn island and pearl cays.

the water pollution of the lake is a real problem.

Hello
The windy season starts in November and finishes around the end of July. There is usually less wind during April, May and middle of June.
The best months are from the middle of December until the end of March and then the middle of June until the end of July.
The wind usually starts coming from the North in November, and then changes to NorthEast in December and sometimes is East/SouthEast.

The average wind speed is between 13kns and 23kns, the max is usually around 34kns.
The air temperature is between 28C and 32C and the water temperature is 27C.
We are in the tropics and so have a dry season and a rainy season, that started on may and finish in december.

Cool and thanks for sharing.

I'm planning my trip for winter 2019 and I haven't considered Nicaragua before now.

Hey Pascal,
Is there a kiteschool with lessons on little corn? One TA forum says the only school on Little Corn is closed, then on another TA forum its saying new owners. The one saying its closed is from May 2019.
