Melbourne - Can kite all year round at different spots around the bay. St Kilda, Brighton, Hampton, Rosebud. Or venture down the southern tip 2hrs and kite Sandy Point, Shallow Inlet, San Remo or Inerloch. Better than Perth.....You will come out of Port Philip Bay in Melb with both legs.
you dont get the thermals or that wind tunnel affect you see in maui (when i have to be in honolulu ...i fly over to maui in morming to kitesurf and retun same day)
for OP...i still maintain portugal or maui is your best bet.
