both too damn cold for me...
i'd take a pass on both
best city in world for a kitesufe vaca...
it used to be paia before it got so overcrowded...
...i'd say maybe prea/jericoacoara nowadays?
Coming from sweden they wont think so much, coming from the tropics..err yes, although you spend so much time hanging on you dont tend to get too cold. Water: 21C summer 15C winter
Perth or Rockingham (actually not a city oops) is very good in summer for flat water and steady strong wind very warm too.

Well if we are restricting it to cities it has to be Cape Town and Perth.

Cities? What are you looking for in a "city"? If you're just looking for somewhere nice to kitesurf, there are plenty of options. If you're looking for somewhere with convenient access to good kitesurfing that is also a large & interesting city with diverse cultural interest, nightlife, dining etc. - that's a different thing. I'd put Lisbon on the list, perhaps San Francisco, Sydney.
Melbourne ahead of Sydney if you are looking at East coast Aus. Christchurch and Noumea are options as well.

I love San Fran but its changed quite a bit ,the housing and rental is very high $$$ and the homeless situation is bad. There are smash and grab going on at the main launch in the city .

Corpus Christi comes to mind. It is not a destination city, but the kiting is great.
For snowkiting, Salt Lake City.

I'm actually in San Francisco area now.
But don't have my kite gear with me.
My definition of a city is diverse cultural and culinary offering. safe, and reasonable costs for a visit. Easy access to kite spots with winds 12+ knots that are frequent.
The reason I am asking is my family enjoys visiting these kind of places, and I wish to combine with daily kite session.
