Hmmm,

Hmmmmmmm,

OP, u do realise if we visit Malasyia or Indonesia (Bali), UAE, etc, we would never be allowed to Israel?!

Even as Australians.

So, it is what it is. From both side of the fence.

Hey bro,
You won't find me defending Israel's policies or government, no worries, I was just born here...

And I'm not interested in boyocting Egypt or anyone for that matter, just trying to find out if the no kite policy is across the board or just for our side of the border, in order to approach their atuorithis to solve the matter with all information in hand.

Never heard of that. Any credible source for that?

What I have heard about plenty of times is the other way around:

Having visited Israel (stamp in you passport or other evidence) can be problematic when trying to visit some arabic countries, as admission may be denied due to the Israel visit. To my understanding Egypt and Jordan are not among those countries.

Could it have something to do with Gazan's flying firebombs into Israel on kites? Maybe they think you are going to meet up with someone from Gaza to sell them the kites? Sounds dumb but can not think of any other reason why they would ban them?

Tho the problem now is mostly with boards, people still manage to sneak kites in as long as it's not in a kite bag

Any Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran etc stamp will prevent us from visiting Israel. This is not a laughing mater for us living in this part of the World.

Fortunately, this is absolutely not the case, even more so, Indonesians can travel to Israel and vise versa is also true.
I think the same applies to Malasia.

Israeli citizens are eligible for visas to Indonesia for single entry group tourist travel and single entry business travel. For Indonesians, tourist visas to Israel are only available for group travel through travel agencies.[2] In May 2018, Indonesia barred Israeli passport holders from entering the country, which Israel reciprocated,[20] although not for all types of visas.[21] A month later, both countries reversed their tourism bans.[4]

You answered it yourself. Let us know how will they stamp your passport in Qatar if you plan visiting...Good luck with that. :naughty:

C'mon guys, I looked at Russia from the border b/c the only way for Australians is via travel agencies. There is no way to get the visa on the border. Period.

stamps or not...that's not the question here.

I wonder if someone from another country is also not allowed to bring gear...if it is just or Israelis...

I recon just visitors from Israel. They have access to Eilat anyway.

So calling for a petition and boycott won't cut it here. Quite the opposite, it might prompt authorities to be even more strict.
