Ilha Do Guajiru, Cumbuco and Jeri... kite size?

Hello guys,

im flying to Ceara begginig of November, planning to stay there for 10 days...
Not sure what exactly whta kite to take...

I use my Rebel 12m on winds up to 30 knots... im 95 kilos guy...

since im limited with luggage im not sure what to take... i have rebel 9 . dice 10 and 12m rEBEL...
if anyone would help me would be perfect...
i will be 2 days in cumbuco, 2 days in Jeri, 2 days in Ilha Do Guaijuru...

im not planning to take kiteboard with me cuz traveling from Montenegro to Brazil with that thing is so expensive...
my plan is to rent it... hope thats a good idea
i might have place for 2 kites, but still wouldnt like to take so much equipment..)

Expect winds from 15-35 knots

Jeri has the strongest wind.

If you fly your 12 til 30, just take 12 and you should be fine, since normally the morning and afternoon have less winds.

Boards can be rented, but reserve before, since November is packed and more people think the same...

But you could buy a used board and then sell it again...ask how much they would pay if you sell it back...

I’m 104kg. After three days of kiting in Jeri I have not seen anything bigger than 10. Been out on my 9 myself. I like to be powered up, but here 12 would have been close to suicide. And from what the locals tell me the wind hasn’t even been that strong the last days.

Expecting to use my 12 in Cumbuco.

I got my own equipment, but renting in Jeri seems to be cheaper than anywhere else I have ever been.

If you're staying in Jeri and Ilha do Guajiru, a 9 only (specially a Rebel) will be fine. If you're heading further southeast, then you should bring your 12 too. I usually take only my 9m Vegas, but it doesn't hurt to take a bigger one just in case. In your case I would choose the 12, the 10 doesn't make much difference in case you need better low end

one more thing... i booked to stay in Widntown in Cumbuco, PURA Vida in Guaijru, and some pousada in Jeri... hope these places are safe because i read some people had problems around.. im not planning to have any deals with prostitutes , no drug

It seems like the most unsafe thing that happens in Jeri are dogs barking - I think you will be fine here at least.

Windtown is a nice place! But you need to walk a bit to the center. At night use the street. During the day the beach is ok. But be aware of the people around you...don’t dream along the way...
But normally you should be fine.

Just be advised: no expensive watches or jewelleries.
Bring an old phone with you.
Have money split in your pockets and never show a big bundle.
If someone wants to rob you, give the old phone and some money and nothing else will happen.

Whats the Cumbuco town like compared to Jericoacoara? Ive been to Jeri once and liked it alot
