Hi everybody,
new to this forum here and looking for some suggestions for our next Brasil trip in November. We plan to stay a couple of days in Icaraizinho, could anyone recommend a nice hotel / pousada there?
As I will be travelling with my wife who is a mosquito-magnet, we look for a clean and nice room without any bugs, cockroaches, frogs or any other "pets"...
I heard of pousadas like Tropical Pais, Vila Mango, Casa Zulu... Does anyone know these places and could share some experience?
Thanks a lot!

Vila Mango is the best place around. Also search for Club of Winds.
Keep in mind there is no fancy hotels, just beach pousadas so you still may see some bugs.
Icaraizinho is a recent explored fishing village and fortunately still free of those mega hotels.
Carmel resort just opened up last year at Taiba beach with one of the best views of the coast above that classic coconut trees photo spot so you might check that out.
Wind and waves are really nice over there and just over an hour drive from Fortaleza on the way to icaraizinho de amontada.

I only stayed at Vila Mango.
Beautiful wooden huts...directly at the ocean.
Wind is a bit gusty close to the beach...the further downwind, the better the wind gets.
But check online or on Booking,com...and flip thru the pictures...several choices. Vila Mango is not cheap.

a bit of an outdated review now but i stayed here 10 yrs ago.
https://www.pais-tropical.com/en/
i liked it a lot. Owner was helpful and friendly. if i was going back to that town i would have no hesitation to give it another shot.

Thanks a lot everybody for the recommendations
I just got room rates from Vila Mango, and yes - they are not cheap... In fact their cheapest room is even 100 R more expensive than Pais Tropical´s superior suite... This helps for my decision
