Left handed waves + reliable wind in June

Postby Jaco » Thu Apr 08, 2021 8:43 pm

Solo traveler looking for left handed waves (even if small) and reliable wind for a week in early June. (Based in Florida.)

This isn't quite vacation. Still need to work US East Coast hours during the day, so thinking South Texas, US West Coast or Hawaii.

Any recommendations?

i thhink june... you will have options

if you want to put the words "the best.." and "waves" together for kitesurfing..
i'd research north coast of peru.
time zone would be more or less same as central US
Image

maui would be in peak season.. and is always fav spot
but the biggest negative was trying to keep eastern time zone"working" hours... while staying there in hawaii...
good luck.
for me it is tough.

june is thermal wind season on the US coast...
i've never explored the gorge.. however in socal, huntington & sunset beaches and the state park south of san diego had were decend options for wind and ridable waves.
(wind will be better in summer..but waves tend to be better in spring)

Those are some spectacular waves. As soon as I have gotten my Covid-19, 22, Spring 23 and Autumn 24 vaccines I'm there.

I agree on Peru.

Also consider Barbados. A short flight for you and a nice friendly left. You can get in a sunrise session before work and then a 2nd one later in the day.
