Slightly off topic but can someone recommend a nice all inclusive resort near a kite beach, i.e. within a walking distance? Thinking of driving around first a bit and then having a week or so in a resort at the end but still want to kite.

Vila Gale Cumbuco.

Nice waves in front, lagoon around the corner.

All in.

There are several. But I don't know which has the best coverage....

Prepaid is quiet cheap ...like 2 USD for 1-2 GB

You can buy at pharmacies. And also recharge there. Also gas stations.

But you need to register your SIM with a local tax number (CPF).
Ask your guesthouse to help you out.

Thanks, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Just hoping the cases drop there until fall, for the moment advisory doesn't look great.

Toby - do you have any information on Carmel Cumbuco Resort? It seems to be slightly more upscale and wondering if kitesurfing in front is also an option.

Yes, it’s right in Cumbuco, a bit upwind of the center.
Normal ocean riding with some shore break and chop.

Not sure it is all inclusive? I guess Vila Gale is more animated, but farther away from Cumbuco center (nice restaurants and weekend more fun).

Carmel I think is 5 stars?
