Madagascar in October?

I'm planning a trip to Egypt for September and was looking for a place in Africa for the month of October. Was looking at Zanzibar or Kenya but it seems like the wind seems to slow down there towards the end of September. So I'm looking at Madagascar now. Any first hand recommendations of places to go, where to stay, cool things to see?????
