I ordered the Quark and I can't wait to receive it and test it but I'm a little sceptical about this video, it seems heavily edited, too good to be true. I'd like to see the raw footage !
Hi,
how do you know, that it is heavily edited and maybe stabilzed in post? Just a guess or any hints?

When do you expect the Quark to be shipped? Or has anybody already got an item? I am too curious on real world footage. Please post yours, if you already have one or seen footage. Thanks!

In the scenes were stabilisation failed, they simply switch to super slow motion.
You can expect the raw footage to be pretty unwatchable at those times.
But the biggest problem of all these devices is that they come 2-3 years too late. The line mount angle has been so heavily overused in the past years, that I find it really boring to watch no matter how stable it is.

My friends solution was virb360. It has automatixal horizon levelling which seems to work well. He 3d printed line mount for virb. We are eager to go out and test it snowkiting..
Here is the example video from virb360 and self- made kite line mount with 3d printer.
Edited with pc with Garmin editor. No additional stabilization outside of editor. Virb360 and editor self aligned horizon automatically.

Woah, that Looks awsome. How Long do you have to edit to get this result and was it very complicated? And how did it look when it came straight rawly out of the cam/Card? Could you post a short footage of the raw Output?
I think I will also try this cam, if it won't be to complicated. Do you have a Picture of your diy Mount?
Thanks for a Reply.

I'm only interested in this type of camera for kitesurfing, and so I have been patiently waiting that Revl gets it act together and starts shipping their product to Europe, and come up with a functional linemount....
Nevertheless, I would really like to get a feeling as to what the guys at REVL are thinking....
do yhey think that they are feeding the buzz in the market for their product, or actually killing it?
the wait has been long.....competition is reaching the market with potential alternatives...
whats up REVL??

You should lose the thumb screw and replace it with a regular screw. I have seen people get their lines caught on the thumb screw much more often than any other part of the line mount.
