Well let's examine the evidence for a moment to see if just like those pesky Russians have a very high probability that they used nerve agent in the UK, this rumour has a very high probability of being true.
What do we know so far,
1)There's a distinct lack of new 2018 North Kiteboarding stock on dealer shelves
2)As irejohn pointed out, a new web address for Duotone Kiteboarding has been registered by Boards & More
3) Large amounts of advertising have been booked in Kite magazines but they are sworn to secrecy having signed CA's
4)An un previously sheduled sales conference has been called on or before July 1st (Normally they are held every two years).
5) There's been no denial.

Better spell it properly
Oh and accept a fully diverse existence and sexual orientation..like all North Riders
Hmm, Pink, you spelled it "Dutone" yet your username is "Duotone", so which is it?
All quite fishy to me.

Top brands can fail even when sales are record breaking if they dont manage their expenses correctly. the company i work for is trying to resolve some issues like this right now.
Big Overhead, fat marketing, too many competing products and no strategy can kill even the most popular brands. The threats of bit tariffs dont exactly help either. I foresee companies thst were small and up and coming or already working on cost reduction strategies coming out ahead in this market. If youre just now starting your strategy youre already behind.

Their web site looks fine at:
https://www.northkiteboarding.com
And there’s a North advertisement running on this site today, so they must think the forum can help (or hurt) their sales.

The last couple of years, all North kites were coming in 2 tones of the same color. It seems that they were getting prepared for duotone.
That's a good one LOL !!!....that's why i'm holding on the my 4 Rebs in this multitone !!.....could one day be a collectible....definitely will need to go into a time capsule !!!

Why do you find it a surprise? NKB belongs to a gang of pensioners from Munich which is an investment company and has nothing to do with kiteboarding. They might sold it further away to some mental hospital in charge or even further to some successful morgue. Why are you worried? NKB costs not so much, some 35 +/- mln euro.
If you are worried buy true kiteboarding products from family owned kiteboarding companies which present in our community.

NKB is a brand of Boards & More.
That’s the company name.
As posted before, NKB isn’t owned by BM if true.
Not sure about Fanatic etc, but ION is also owned by BM.
