Cwood- btw- I ride the 637 all the way back on my Hypermiler and could even go further. This is about 2 inches further back than I like to ride the 558.

Cwood- It may be that I am simply getting used to the 637. But the initial feel is that it takes more effort to get the same pop due to the pitch stability. Loading feels good on both wings. Both are fast but the 637 goes fast more effortlessly. Just feels like the 558 jumps out of the water more distinctly. Please give us your review when you get out there. Will be interested in your impressions. Again, you will be amazed at the low end (slow planing) capability on the 637 as well.
The reviews of the low end have surprised me for sure. Begs the question why one would need the 558 as well if the range is so good. I have a feeling that I will be a 637 guy with occasional 633 sessions.

when you say "back" you mean mast back in tracks or straps back on board?

Cwood- my straps are set in the middle. I use the 637 all the way back in my mast tracks. The stabilizer is the 420. I thought I would render the 558 as redundant but do still like to get out on it for freestyle. You will be surprised how different they feel.

Loving
my new big Italian moses 633 For kite foiling, With slight modification to fit slingshot 24 inch mast for shallow water cruising.... .Holes on slingshot mast are almost a match for the moses fuselage but the mast profile was too wide to fit the moses fuse .,With some slight grinding ground down got the profile to fit the fuse. Also drilled out the holes on the moses fuse from 6mm to 8mm to match the bolt holes in the slingshot mast... Hey presto works . Weight factor ok too with alloymast and fuse, baseplate cabon wings 3.75kg ...What a great foil so smooth easy on Transitions Goes round to toeside with ease and can maintain a great toe side track .Gybes with ease... foot placement . ...not too critical either. Rock solid. No humming straight line speed is suprisingly quick. NOT Draggy.Love it Only tried in mushy white water,& Ventilation wasn't a problem with the small mast ,Cant wait to try with longer mast and in Waves Highly recommended cruising foil Good job Moses

Looks like a $15 boogie board they sell for kids to play. I'd assume glued to a layer of plywood

Cwood - I purposely went out yesterday and tried both the 558 and 637 in one session to see if I agreed with my original position. And I must say I have flipped my opinion. The 637 is a much better jumping set up. I think my initial issue was that my mast placement was too far forward. This required a lot of front foot pressure at speed which made the load and pop more challenging than the 558. Now that I have the 637 mast in the sweet spot (all the way back), there is no comparison to how fast I can go and then load and pop. I am still dialing it in but am now thinking the 558 is gonna be for sale soon. Sounds like you use a Woo. My user ID in the Woo world is John Price. Let me know your handle so I can keep up with your jumps. Had jumps in the 40 ft range the last 3 days. All in sub 18mph wind. What a game change foiling is.
