(However, I did just buy a new quiver of kites so, I'm jonesing bad to use them...)

Now we've just been nearly flooded with heavy rains so the mountain bike trails are closed and there isn't a hint of wind.

Stupid nature.... :cool2:

😄you guys are a riot ... sick, total kite junkies... 💥thanks for the laugh... but since you are on this thread I suspect you never get a break from kiting: you are either doing it or thinking about doing it or filming, editing, watching it. It’s an obsession.

Oh yeah and, saying you don’t care really means you do or you wouldn’t say it!

A different topic: Toby, yes, the weather in Germany is pretty bad, but I keep thinking once I’m advanced enough I’ll be able to go out in any weather. Like my best kite partner is out there in 10 & over 40, in rain, storm, snow & heat, whereas I’m a shadow-parker type & don’t get nearly enough time on the water. Is that a fair expectation or do I have to move to enjoy kiting more?

I've been kiting three times in the last week :-) and it now looks windless for the next couple of weeks. :-(

So now I'll get back on my semi offroad trail bike/supermoto and hit some dirt and twisties! :thumb:

Ooh, and I'm 71 years old so I'd better be careful not to hurt myself! Yeah, right!

What a lot of big girls blouses there are here!

Someone who cares a lot often mention how much he doesn’t care... 😬

I use to do a lot of MTB still have awesome bike and use it now and again when no wind is found! Which fortunately doesn’t happens often.

I use it more often until I discovered winter wet suit 6/4 and now I kitesurf all year around!

It’s personal preference but for me 2-3 day windy days in week is minimum kitesurfing I can live with. If more than very very happy but with 3-4h session it’s kinda hard to kite everyday

Going fast downhill on bike trail gives me a similar buzz as kitesurfing left & right but nothing can compete with a feeling of jumps of kite.

My job take me to Sweden this year, good money but I will be able to kite only every 3 month's.I take vacation in mid january and spend a month in Cape Town,I work near Are which is a beautiful ski resort and gone snowboarding every weekend. But here there are lake everywhere and many windy day but no way to launch a kite due all the tree and it is killing me hear the wind blowing and having so many lake around with flat water light for almost 24 hours a day and not being able to go kite.Every lake I ride around I am looking for a possible place to launch.Just hope we finish this job soon and go back to Italy.

Went for a kite today, Busted out the landboard for sine high speed tomfoolery. Then jumping in the water for bump and jump in 25-35 knots...
Bloody hell i was a bit rusty on my redirects on the boosts. Needless to say there was some splash downs.

I cancelled all other sports to not injure myself...if I get injured kiting I accept it. But not from any other sport.
I used to road bike a lot, now much less and thought it was fairly safe....until a cat ran under my front wheel and I did a header 2-3 years ago. Messed up my shoulder bad for a season, and it will never be the same...
