Stopped by Aphrodite’s rock a short while ago and it struck me as a magic place to kitefoil around. The beach was empty. There are few rocks that might be too close to surface and need be avoided, but otherwise it looked doable. No signs to prohibiting kiting or anything. I don’t like to create problems for local kiters here, so I’m asking whether it is ok to do it?

Nobody kites there because the wind is usually stronger and more stable further along the shore. Also it's a very popular tourist destination and the beach doesn't really stay empty for long. Used it with friends as a starting point for downwind couple years ago. The place is indeed beautiful.

Hi Borist, are you the one with the Zeeko spitfire? Aphrodite's rock is definitely doable especially on a foil and on a calm day because you will be able to see the rocks. With waves and stronger wind, much more risky!

Yup, that was me. I chickened out after having a look at the gap between two outer rocks (?) and seeing corral or something there - possibly too shallow to pass thru. For me the whole thing was about going thru and around those rocks. Perhaps next time. Btw, good to meet you there.
