My weight is 75kg/165lbs and kites are XR4 12m, XR5 9m and 7m. I feel that wind range of my 12m and 9m overlap too much. Maybe replacing XR4 12m with Nexus 13.5m would be a good idea?
Or Nexus 12m would be good for small waves with wind around 10-12kts?

Can anyone compare the Nexus to the GTS4/5?

Nexus has a little more drift and a littles less 'spike' in loop surges than a GTS4. So more suitable for all round use with extra wave riding bonus and a little less punishment in freestyle practise. It's going down very well, lots of riders have tried then bought immediately.

Intro: I own 11m and 9m XR5s and 7m XR4 and I used to own XR4s before. I used to go for big airs mostly but I’m not expert on kiteloop landings. I’ve started riding foil this year as I enjoy it on low wind days and small waves (I haven’t ridden directionals before). I also own Airush Ultra II 12m, which is sweet, and Sonic2 13m (which I hate and it hates me but I used to ride Speed5s back in the days).

Problem: I’m thinking whether Nexus would be a good choice for me for both big air (mostly just going high in waves) and foiling - I’m still learning transitions and I enjoy riding it in waves but XRs don’t float that much downwind with me I think.
I’m thinkging about it mainly because Nexus CIT modes: Wave and Allround. I love XRs’ loaft jumps though.

Any advice / remarks (beside test riding)?

I'm beginner/intermediate, no problem going upwind but just learning to transition-loop and jumps.
I'm not planning to unhook much but I like very dynamic kites and want to kiteloop some day.

Is the GTS a better option then? Or can the Nexus (on freestyle mode maybe) be quite energetic as well and maybe easier to learn on.

Any advice very much appreciated!

As the nexus appears to be the latest and next brand to copy the fone bandit can anyone compare the nexus to the bandit 2018 at all?

Copy the Bandit? Darling have you not studied the various incarnations of the Bandit? From the Dos onwards, every year it changed to emulate whichever kite was hot the year before, from the Slingshot RPM when it won the world series to dozens of others, nobody copies the Bandit, if they did they'd be three years behind the curve.

What??? A bandit model that looked like an RPM.... Whatever bud. One was the original delta, the other a bridled, clipped and opened up fuel.

For a guy who has been around for so long, you really don't seem to know much! Youri won in 2011 and 2012 on the RPM. Here are the 2013 models of both kites. They have never looked similar.

Correct, the world was hell bound in the direction of ugly delta kites following the success of a dubious test that sent droves of Fat Germans to Lake Garda to be rescued when their Bandit dos wouldn't re-launch. The RPM went gangbusters in 2009 then the following iterations of Bandits as well as other brands rediscovered the 'open C' with their wider wingtips and kites began to look more 'RPM' like.

But back to the comments to hand, no, I very much doubt anyone at Core took a Bandit 13 or whatever iteration it is into consideration when they designed the Nexus, if they have any brand at all in focus it's more likely to be DuoNorth & More since they are battling it out in their home market.

The Nexus is a great kite does lots of thing very well and some excellently, just a shame they don't make them in pink for us girls eh?

Ahhh, a few years earlier was it?

2010 RPM right when it was selling, yet, not breaking news.

Totally unique two pulley bridle.

Here is the 2010 bandit.

Completely different bridle with three pulleys.

Oh yeah, in those years, the bandit was 5 strut and the RPM 3.

Your super full of shit. Those two kites have never even remotely resembled one another. Even the basic planform is remarkably different to even the untrained eye.

As different as any two LEI's can be, but yeah, back to the comments at hand !
