Well, sounds like that many are made in the same factory anyway (including need essentials):

Personally, I really like the O'Neill Psycho suits, they fit me the best and are so comfortable.
Me too. Psycho Freak 5/4 back zip for winter, Psycho One 3/2 back zip for spring and autumn, and O'Neill shortie for warm summer days.

As I understand it, that’s the main reason why Needessentials exists. The guy who started it had spent a number of years working in the industry and wanted to provide a no bullshit product at much better prices. So with Need you get the same top quality neoprene most of the well established brands use, but you’re not paying a premium for a logo being slapped on the suit.

winter custom fit 5.5/4. Summer suit just a cheapy that fit well in the shop. Balloon legs stopped with a red hot nail. The best sessions, for me, seem to be in the winter- the colder air is heavier and therefore stronger so I bought expensive for that. The summer is far too hot with that suit on- dehydration can be a serious problem. There are guides as to what thickness you need for what temps but most kiting isn't in the water. Best thing is to ask around at your local spot what the guys there wear around the year.

I have an R3 Patagonia and it's been fine for 2 years
It feels a touch thinner than other 3/2s and has been just as warm

Ola,
since we're moving from Thailand to Ireland (stopped in France for a week to stock up on cheese and wine of course), we've just been through what's available right now in terms of performance wetsuits for kiting and surfing (Ireland got amazing spots for both it turns out!). So we've just squeezed up our little research in a massive review of the top kitesurfing wetsuits for both men and women:
https://extremenomads.life/best-kitesur ... men-women/ (ps: that review contains affiliate links)
Also, has anyone had the chance to try out one of the new wetsuit brands that are popping up lately? The french St-Jacques wetsuits, Derevko, Runawave, Adelio etc...

Definitely the best wetsuit I have owned is the Ripcurl flashbomb with no zip. Warm as.

I really enjoy the Mission 32 FZ from Neil Pryde. Very warm and stretchy. Would highly recommend it
