So does anyone care at this point?............lol
Well I sort of do. GP has had about 3 years to figure out image stabilization since the new players in the field (Revl Arc, Sony and Garmin) have made strides in the tech and are eating market share in the process.
The rumor for the Hero 7 is "gimbal like stabilization". So we'll see. This could be a last gasp for GP as their stocks have tanked in the last couple of years. Market saturation, smart phone cameras getting good and failed Karma drone have been a shot in the nuts for GP.
I'm hoping it has "gimbal like stabilization", a bigger sensor, doesn't fog and a battery pack that lasts longer than 25 minutes......
My Hero 4 is due for a refresh, so fingers crossed this is something worth buying. I'm sure GP is hoping it's a winner too.

I’m interested but not holding my breath. This once a year update is killing them because they keep putting out cameras that aren’t ready. I do like my 5 and if they can do what they say I may get the 7.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's release. I'm still on a GoPro Hero 3 from 2013. $399 for the current Hero 6 is outrageous, especially considering it isn't much different than the Hero 5. To this day I'm not really sure why GoPro went public. Aside from continuing a small HD sports camera (the Hero series, which they were developing before they went public anyway), what has public funding gotten them? A failing "Karma" drone and a 360 camera? I like GoPro, but I think as a business they've gone in a wrong direction for many years. We'll see what the Hero 7 brings, in-body stabilization would be nice, but a lower price tag is what it'll take for me to upgrade.

Unfortunately the session is gone, too little sales apparently...
The leaks suggest 3 new GoPro : Black, Silver and White

Currently on the Hero6, which already has image stabilization. Nice images but the damn thing freezes up so often while riding. Have already put in a more expensive SD card but it still happens too often. Anybody else have this problem?

I had the hero 5 black, it was crashing/freezing all the time for no reason... but i lost it in the water very quickly with the orange foam.
Since then i bought a session 5 and it's golden.
Hero 7 is rumored to have gimbal like stabilisation, even better than the hero 6.
And it's supposed to be able to direct stream.
