the best solution I found and does it now on all my bars : replace the Chicken loop by a shorter system ; like cabrinha old chicken loop, cut the harness hook , get rid of the cabrinha loop , and instead attach the cabrinha release system directly on a ring fixed on the spread bar (there is few topics on it, sliding or not);

It allows you to keep the same bar throw but keep the sheet-out stopper closer to you, very efficient

Slingshot offer a smaller chicken loop and with the Sentinel bar you can adjust the location of the cleat. I’ve done this on my girlfriend’s bar so the cleat is closer to the bar.

I have medium arms but I find I need to extend all the way out, on full stretch to reach the bar at the end of the depower throw. Not very ergonomic at all.

I have found my harness hook, which is a thin, single rod hook instead of double rod hook like other brands, unfortunately makes the chickenloop longer. It actually does make a difference.

Double rod hook:

I am a 5'2" female kiter who works with an online retailer. We just completed a pretty thorough guide to the different control bar solutions for people with shorter arms. I hope this is useful. http://blog.greenhatkiteboarding.com/20 ... hort-arms/
