Postby tmbt » Wed Oct 10, 2018 11:36 am

Hi guys,
i want to buy a Ride Engine harness online and i don't have any friend who has it so i cannot try it before buying ... i checked the size chart table but i prefer an opinion from someone who is using the ride Engine. My waist is 86cm or 34 inches more or less ... which size should i buy ?

thanks
Mattia

Hello , I strongly recommend that you try on the harness .

Is there no kite stores or spots you can go and try it on?
I've been on the hunt for a harness and tried quite a few before buying as some just don't seem to sit right on my body .

It's worth it in my opinion to try a few and then splash the cash , best option would be just go to a kite spot and ask a few guys can you try it on and there opinion, most kiters are more than happy to share the knowledge and help each other

Medium... I'm a 32" and bought a small, but had a hard time choosing between small and medium. The small fits me quite snug and sits under my ribs, not over, which is how I want to wear a waist harness. If you are truly a 34" then I think the Medium would be perfect for you.

Med.

You wnat a snug fit, especially for the shell. There is good range on the straps for different layers depending on season.

I generally adjust mine twice a season, when going frmo thick to thin, and then back again in the fall. I dont touch the straps at all for getting in and out on the daily. Simply suck it in and latch/unlatch.

I prefer mine sized big. I used to wear a smaller size. The ears dug in under my ribs. I went larger on the harness and now it can’t dig in under my rib. Ears wrap nicely around my ribs, nicely padded.

I even switched to a mystic slider on it. Now it’s the ultimate Cush harness.

I would say Medium with 10” bar but I’m in agreement with everyone that for the RE harnesses it is really important to get the right fit.

As of right now, 4 people say Medium, 1 says Large, 2 don't say specifically (1 says "prefers big", 1 says "try them on"). :)

I'm 34" measured around the navel and have the 2016 Medium with 10" bar. This is a good fit and have been wearing a couple years, back when was a few inches wider. Wear with rash guard and with steamer. I think a medium would be spot on. I'm eyeing the 2019's, think I'll snag one and make one with rope and one with bar.
Just make sure you have the option to return if size is wrong but really think medium is the size you want.
