I'm thinking about a trip to Brazil during late November/early December and would like to foil once a day and also ride a twintip when the wind is stronger (just after noon).
Which of the following spots would you recommend? I don't mind low 20 knots when foiling as long as it's less gusty than Crissy Field (San Francisco).
Cumbuco
Taiba
Paracuru/Quebra Mar
Icaraizinho (officially: Icarai de Amontada)
Prea
Over a decade ago I kited at Paracuru/Quebra Mar with a twintip but from what I remember it was very shallow close to shore and then some decent 1.5m waves further outside so I"m surprised this guy had fun there on a foilboard:

I am in Cumbuco right now. Wind is low for the season. Good foiling in the morning and late afternoon. Choppy for twintippers except the lagoons. Sandy beach no rocks good for foils washing ashore. Paracuru to shallow for foiling except out the reef. Further north poba ly to windy for foiling.

The wind starts to decrease then. I'm in Parajuru and the river mouth has changed a lot. At high tide you get 3hrs for foil in flat deep water. But stay out of TT riders way.
Low tide you have to walk over and 400m to ocean. It's not a big deal really.
I'm only foil here, about 20 kites out in huge area. Most TT a few SB

I'm in Taiba.
I foil every day, regardless of the conditions...
In the Ocean, you need to be confident to get through the shore break, once at open water it's fine.
We also have a wave spot with flat water behind the reef at low tide and no waves to get you out to open water. (you need to pay attention to the shallow reef on the left and right side...)
however from mid to high tide on 1m-1,5m waves it's like Disney Land for me...
Im the only one on foil here.
drop me a pm. if you are in the neighbourhood!
cheers
Roy

Cumbuco is excellent for foiling.
Gets deep immediately and no waves in your way, just some shore break.
Gets shallow in low tide in front of Duro Beach and Kite Cabana, the rest is deep.
