I prefer the hoosier 5.5 tire. Much carvier like my foil. I'm on my third board. It just keeps getting better, I really dont go anywhere without it now and dread walking by foot anywhere

I've had mixed experience with my original OW. I've had my battery shit out on me for no particular reason with about 100 miles on it. Costed me over 500 bucks to get it fixed by FM. Now there's aftermarket battery options which I would have done if I had the option.

I had the plus and now ride the XR.
It is really similar to riding foil. Absolutely love it.

I still ride the original tire.
Do you think it is really worth the trouble of tire change for better ride?
I ride grass/sand and off-road 90% of the time. Which tire u think would give me best feel?

OP here. Onewheel will take off many many months, maybe even a year, off your foiling progression.
I learned how to jibe a foil mostly because of the onewheel. Way down the road (foiling road), Onewheel helped me get much stronger on my weak side too. The big little secret is out and if you're smart and able to, you'll invest in one.

Yes, they are a blast. We actually started selling them to help offset the damnable light winds we have in summer. I had immediately found it to be similar to snowboarding, but it had never occurred to me that it was relatable to foiling. The new XR's range is far enough that it can go farther than I want to go.

Hoosier tire gave me 3x the range. I could pump it up to 40 psi. I am not getting 12 miles on my original OW.

I revived this thread as I'm seriously considering one...
What is the opinion of the owners? Still enthusiastic about it or it has faded out?
Where are you based? FM don't officially support outside of the US so if you live outside the US you need to factor in the possibility of having to work out how to fix it yourself. Same with the aftermarket add ons.
Its a great product but I think they wisely have kept it to a single market to avoid growing pains whilst they nail the market. There is a cheap chinese clone if you are outside the US which might be worth a look (though still 600 euros or something ) called a Trotter.

They do support overseas. I am in Singapore and have a second one already.
I had an issue with the first one and they sent me a RMA and were going to ship it back to US free. The problem went away though and I never had to send it back for repairs.
They also shipped both to Singapore without any issues.
OneWheel never wore off! I love it even more now that I ride it well. I ride it along the beach on grass and sand.. And it fells like a foil session every time.
It is really awesome. You get addicted.
