hi all I've just joined this forum , and I've been kiting since 2003 , at bran mostly , and I'm 56 ,my name is pete, i had a break for illness and started again a couple of years ago , and I've been flying blades, mostly blade 3's and blade 2's in a work harness with a roller , i'm lining up all my blades at the moment , just got one more to do (I have 17), the blade2 2metre is the last one ,and I have an old set of flysurfer lines I took off a pyshco 3 10 metre , but one line has a knot , 11inches from the loop ,which i'am trying to remove ,or if the worst comes to the worst , I could use it as a brake line anytips on removing the knot . i'm gonna try wetting it and gently try to pull it

Just knock out wetted knot on smooth surface to flat with hammer then rotate 90 degree knock out to flat. Repeat couple of times and it will loose. Dont pull or anything with needle. Knocking is most gentle way to line.

Welcome back. Knot can be removed by hammering it gently from different sides, against some flat surface. Every knot I've seen has opened with this method.
Because you have "a roller" I guess you steer your kites with handles. I much prefer control bar (even for fixed AoA kites). Conversion is not that difficult.
Last winter I had test with P3, it is still usable kite. Blades are effective kites, but their value is limited because of no depower and less than good stability.

I've seen peeps kitesurf with blades , and on handles blades are very touchy feely and instant , bars on fixed bridles, not really as sharpe , bars make tricks easier and blades for jumping are fantastic , i'm a landboarder , never been in the water , well that's not true , I pulled a loop with a blade1 4.9 ,and I ended up in the sea , and I once got pulled in the sea with my sabre1 , and it filled with water , and that was hard work pulling it out carefully and slowly

on the flysurfer front I have a silver arrow 15metre speed2, a p4 8metre , a pulse2 6metre, a speed3 12metre and my absolute favourite is a black and gold speed2 10 metre delux , and that kite is almost too fast to be safe , but its amazing to fly , you just gotta keep it flying , and it is so fast . I do have a speed2 6 metre , and I took that out of service that is too fast it is difficult to keep it in the sky , so I plan to add lines and handles , and use it as a fixed bridle as I think the speed will really work well on handles
edit ;-I forgot about my flysurfer speed1 7metre phroto, and this is one that is almost too fast but it is so fast it is huge fun charging along ,not really a jumping kite but I can see why they diluted it down before release- if I was to enter a race on my landboard I would use this kite

well I have been flying since 2003 and I know several blade flyers , many ex flexi riders and I learnt from watching them ,and we all do it safely , as long as u know what you are doing no troubles at all, and on the flysurfer front I have never used the safety , I always bring them down on the brakes , as I do the blades too - i'm not trying to say how tough or how good I am but I use to fly on my own a lot and its simple , I don't want tangles

To be fair I didn't read it properly and assumed you were kitesurfing...
