That wingtip fix was a right thing to do. The cells are a bit of compromise (1.1 skin, not a single skin? , Ozone XXLite seems to just have narrower wingtips to avoid the issue but they had way higher AR too though.
It’s certainly not easy to hit 33% size increase for each step, and 5-8m gap is a bit wider than that (even takkng into consideration projected area) but then again, probably Flysurfer didn’t want to engage in decimal point sizes. The 3m size is cool though, I might need a new streetkite kite
This is logical evolution. Gin Shaman already showed one example of cells at the wingtips, this is another (and slightly different) one.
Kite looks much better now, earlier Peaks haven't had so nice wingtips. Even kiteloops seem ok, though it may be a bit misleading to judge when pros do their tricks in perfect conditions
Compared to Ozone Explore FS has now upper hand obviously.
Seems that flysurer entered to single skin foils era and next soul or sonic will be also single skin , FS please do the same wind range of abot 4-38 knots for 3-5 meters kite of them also:)
Hmm.. 29 cells but they're only on the front 1/3 of the kite. And 11m is the largest now, lower projected area but hopefully faster? How much faster? Lighter than the Peak 3 12m.
Not sure how I feel about the cells on the tips. They'll probably get rid of the wear that my current Peak3 has there but take on water on that occasional dunk.
Someone PLEASE chime in on the speed comparison of a Peak3 12m and Peak4 11m!
edit:
Damn! after watching the video
and the 11m getting heli-looped, this thing looks WAY faster. I don't think the 12m can do that.
Hello!
Does anybody have the experience of using Peak4, 3m in strong and gusty winds?
Thinking about getting one for these kind of conditions with winds up to 38 knots.
Thanks
