Friend of mine said something similar. He did the update, the got an error! But this all seems to be solved apparently. Hope yours will be fixed/solved!

I updated the Woo yesterday, all went fine. Had a session today, and when I turned on the Woo the yellow light didn't blink but was on for like a minute and I couldn't record. But after that minute the light started blinking and I could then record. Downloading the session afterwards went fine. Not sure what was up with that non blinking light...
I have also done the update and then tested (at home) and everything works perfectly.
I am more curious what the updates include because you can not find that anywhere...
The woo asked for my location for the first time, maybe he will fill it in automatically now?

I updated the firmware before I saw this post. The update was uneventful and the Woo appears to connect to my phone and function normally. However, I have not recorded a session with it yet.
Have you tried restarting your phone?
I have only ever updated or uploaded while unplugged. Did you try to upload your session without the USB plugged in? Have you tried to connect to your Smartwatch without the USB plugged in?
The battery in the Woo3 charges pretty fast and lasts way longer than Woo1 or Woo2. How do you know it's not charged? Did you see the battery status prior to updating? Did you charge it prior to the update? Did it ever flash red while trying to charge before/after the update?
Also updated to see whats going on...NO issues at all! Don't see any changes either...waiting on an APP update. Interesting though is that on their website they are talking about a new functionality besides "Big Air" and "Freestyle" coming early 2019. From the text above it appears this will be "Freeride" what should we expect? Detection of tricks (hooked in) in combo with height? Could be fun...
What makes me happy is that it appears that WOO is comingback to life with new updates and new plans!
