Liquid Force Rocket vs Liquid Force Galazy vs Slingshot Dwarfcraft Boards

Postby kitegirls » Mon Feb 04, 2019 8:00 pm

Narrowed it down to 3 boards (maybe 4- also possibly considering Moses 20 but I dont think that the slingshot foils fit it and its way more expensive so maybe not...) Which of the above is the most beginner friendly/ least prone to burying the nose/rails /pearling?

galaxy is much better than the rocket. I'll probably pick one up this year just because my rocket is soooo heavy. Haven't tried the $1,000 boards from slingshot yet they are probably light. The dwarf craft micro looks fun. Not sure you want to learn on it tho.

yep the Galaxy is my choice from those 3. Another board I would choose a beginner board is the Liquid Force Happy Pill... you might be able to find that one on blow out cheap as its an older model

Not wanting to stir it up
But
I have both rockit and happy pill boards, the rockit if it's the red one is harder to pearl
The HaPpy can pearl its shorter
Also the happy is fragile the rocket is bomber , yes it's heavier
And you can find them on sale.

I've seen the first generation galaxies fail
The new ones are a bit heavier
And if your starting out the red rockit is a bit easier to ride on the water.
There's not a lot of nose on the Galaxy so you can stuff it under

I'd say Rocket is not a good board. Never had a chance to see/demo the Galaxy.
Couple of friends have LF Happy Pill and Slingshot Dwarfcraft 4'6" (and 3'6") for sale. Let me know if you'd be interested in any of those, I believe thy'd take $400 for any of those.

i don't know why you'd say the Rocket is not a good board. yes, it's heavy. but i learned on it, have tried a bunch of other boards, and don't see much of a difference. i still use it. i would NOT use the Dwarfcraft 3'6" as a beginner board.
