yes, from water level it will look much higher!

Yes - those are not at water level. Water level would mean putting the camera at beach level (more or less) on the shoreline.

still looks higher than a normal position of someone on the beach...specially the 2nd picture...

yup $1000 from a multi billion $ company for that kind of risk is a embarrassing , having said that i dont really agree that riders should put themselves on the line for $ without good consideration... look at fmx . so many dead riders now - hopefully not for the fame... saw a red bull fmx video recently mentioned about 6 top riders that had died.
