Telluride Snowkite Help

Postby Kitemanmuc » Sat Feb 09, 2019 6:14 pm

Hey guys! I’m headed to Telluride for 4 sick days of skiing and unplugging. Brought my kite for some snowkiting but left my harness in the Uber on the way to
Airport. Go figure.

Anyone in the area that could lend a harness or know where i could rent one? Any help would be much appreciated.

That sucks...I'm sure there must be a climbing store there....maybe you can rent a climbing harness and rig it to work with your chicken loop...

Not sure if you are any where close to Salida on your way there but I've got a DaKine seat harness you could borrow for your trip. I can pm you my number if you're interested.

Little far from Salida, but I really appreciate the offer. Gonna try and go with the rock climbing suggestion. That could work!

I can't remember the name of the shop, but there is an awesome climbing store in Ouray, ice climbing capitol for that part of the world, not that far of a drive away. They will surely have something to rent/buy. You can lap over to Ouray and still have time to make it to either Red Mountain or Lizard Head Pass to kite...
