I have the L full carbon red stripe, 130cm
its in the pictures at the front of this thread.
I did have the 120cm M painted carbon Skate last year which I loved, but sold it to my buddy who was wanting to buy it,
I have a replacement M 120 full carbon Skate on order which I should have in a few weeks.
I picked up the 130cm L full carbon 5 weeks ago from Gunnar at the start of my last 3 week holiday in fuerteventura.
the 130cm is way thicker than the smaller 120, the 120cm is 3cm thick, the 130 is 5cm thick, this is very noticeable when touching down, as it glides on the surface better,
body dragging out in onshore wind is a little easier,
extra effort is needed to get it to turn very quickly on the fly, its not as twitchy as the smaller 120.
The 120 M is much more fun to use for the more experienced foiler no doubt about that.
However I am very happy to use the 130L for all the times I need to keep extra volume under my feet,
I am in the very frustrating foot switch on the fly learning period,
and find the 130 is far more forgiving of all my failed attempts, allowing me to recover more easily, I now fall in much less than before, and that is due to the board and its extra volume.
I reckon I will need a few more months using the 130 before I have it fully cracked.
maybe sooner.
At which point I think I will sell the 130 and return to using my Moses T38 Ltd and my Skate 120.
