I remember kitebelt. Ahead of it's time.
Should be reincarnated as the kitewave belt. It's the way of future.

I was digging out for information about this spreader bar when found this (not so old) thread.
I also would like to hear some opinions from people that are already using Mystic Stealth bar in the surf option. It has the smaller rope in the middle that we can pass the ring through and limit the sliding range. Not a true innovation but it tries to tackle the excess sliding issue.

Yeah the stealth with the ring tucked throough works great, the only downsides compared to a hook for me are:
1) inability to easily unhook/rehook e.g self launch or swapping kites
2) possibly not as strong as a hook for boosting, having said that, the CL is also made of similar dyneema and at least this stuff you can see the wear. Tempted to rig a double line setup somehow for extra safety though.
On the plus side I can use the Duotone metal slider CL for both wave riding and TT boosting with this setup

There was a "whacky kitesurfing inventions" video that popped up in my timeline earlier this month, and I was disappointed it didn't include the Kitebelt. Not that I could remember what it's name was

I was considering to buy the hook version and include the rope as it has the holes to attach. However, the rope's kit does not come with the metal ring
