So it's a Duonorth bar with Flysurfer written on it. Precedent for this with the Core Infinity 1.0 QR. I wonder how all that money and effort with making the Infinity 2.0 release feels now?
Bit boring. Sad with Flysurfers foil kite innovation they couldn't think a little out of the box. It doesn't actually take much thought at all to arrive at something better.
This bar weight a ton a and quick release is dangerous pendulum to hurt yourself while rigging. Just QR weight more than my whole bar with lines. One handed QR reset is NIGHTMARE /i used rope slider/. COMMON FLYSURFER - you are better than this!
Sorry if that has been discussed already, but how do you self-land the soul in really powered conditions?
I am getting my 15 today and want to make sure I don't make an ass of myself tomorrow
I am aware of back stalling technique.. but would it work well when overpowered?
Hooking it to an anchor while at 45-60deg and running to catch it, seems to be the safest for the kite (if things go well) but may lead to epic fails, from what I've read so far..
what else?
If it’s really blowing and I’m using a big foil sometimes you just have to pull the safety. Bring it to the edge of the window with a wing tip touching the ground and pull the safety. Try to keep the safety line on the ground as much as you can and walking so you are downwind after pulling the safety will help reduce the foil spinning. You may have a little mess to fix later in the lines but after a little practice it’s not so bad. The key is to be able to pull the safety without putting too much load on the kite. Keeps the bridal from getting out of wack.

What if you have someone inexperienced helping you land foil kite? You ask him to grab tip of your kite, hold it to ground, disconnect CQ, leash and walk to kite and start to put some sand on tip facing wind?
inexperienced people are easier than kitesurfers used to lei....the numebr of people who try and land your kite by grabbing the middle of the kit erather than the tip

If I had people readily available all the time when I kite, I would not be asking for self-landing advice...
but thanks anyway.. I was already aware of normal landing routine.
