I am new to kiting, But am I crazy to think this idea would work... A inflatable leading edge with a ram air system for a cross over kite???

It seems there is a trend to go the other way. Single skin kites with ram air inflated leading edge and a few struts. That's what you get with the Flysurfer Peak 4, and there are a number of paragliders around with variation on that as well.
It's purely done for light weight for travel and (for paragliders) mountaineering. There is no performance advantage.
As far as I know the leading edge vents out the back onto the under surface. I am curious as to whether the cells could be sealed and valved so the the single skin kites could be water relaunchable. That would be cool to have a kite that would fit in your pocket that you could go foiling with.

So you'd take the added weight of a double skin kite with a large bridle and speed system and add the weight of a bladder and valves? Sounds great, let me know where I can buy one.
