Jamaica Mon! First kitesurfing video at the Rose Hall Hilton

I took my family and my kiting gear to the Rose Hall Hilton, near Montego Bay, and had a great week!

Very cool! I saw your kite. Were you at the kite school? I was thinking of trying to make my way up there. But was having too much fun where I was. I can't believe more kites weren't up, what's up with that?

That school is closed.
I kite/teach next to Hilton.
Maybe next yr , try open something bigger.

The reason you didn’t see more kites, just not very many local kiters. There’s maybe around 30 kiters or so islandwide, and most are kiting on south coast at port royal, near Kingston

LOL! You're my validation that most would be on a kite 3m smaller than me. That one was my 15m North Rebel, the red was my 14 and the white, the Core 17m. I'm still in disbelief that you were the guy upwind; you heard me mention you in the video, right?

You're local? This was my first trip to Jamaica. Is it like this pretty much all year, or are there better months to come down. Like I said, I was amazed that more kites weren't up. After the last guy who took out the 4-year old, I was lucky to talk the Hilton GM into allowing me to kite on property. I've done it in Cancun, but the wind sucked in comparison.
