Yep.. his business plan seem to be solid:
1) alienate good portion of your potential customers by silly foil remarks (he keeps posting them, BTW).. Yes many people mix foiling with SB/TT..
2) setup multiple gofundme pages and beg for cash..
His last fundme page is like:
I need $20K to start a company.. No name.. no business plans or any details on what and how..

@ longwhitecloud, what a load of crap!
You pick and choose your data without any context.
As mentioned before virtually all Olympic competing countries have national programs to pick the best competitors and provide them with gear @ no cost. Sounds like you missed out on being the chosen one and can't get over it. Also the reason World Sailing is involved is that they have connections to local sailing clubs in most countries and through that national network provide subsidised insurance, training and grant money for gear, safety, boats etc.
Your ignorance trolling has no place on this forum, every statement you make just makes it worse for you.

Try and have some fun, maybe get outside a bit in the fresh air or even on the water if you actually can kite etc.
How many Australian females attempted to qualify for the youth olympic games? None, no female competitors at all from one of the premiere water sports nations on earth. Oceania actually managed to get a single competitor that was a novice.

How is that relevant? It shows how industry that stands to benefit is all hype, never mind the facts regarding the real participation numbers, inclusiveness, and affordability.

I am starting my campaign, I gotta learn to kite first.

I wouldnt be surprised if the whole olympic affair / gear choices /disciplines is revisited by IOC.

Lou for kiteboarding president. If he can make kiteboarding more affordable again - good on him, will be good to see a new generation of rippers.

They chose the most expensive, complex, full carbon, most hard to maintain (bridles) kite kit that ever existed.
For the main brands yes they are expensive. But with the longevity of a foil kite ,at 2-3+ times a LEI, then even these expensive models are still cheaper. Mark my words you will see some of these kites still around 20-30+ years later. Then there exists a foil kite brand which has the cheapest kites, starting at $89 for a water kite.

As to bridle maintenance. It may seem complicated and difficult but it really is not that much. I would not say it is anywhere as difficult fixing a pin hole on a bladder. Most all adjustment involves the change in the length of 2 bridles, 1 each side. It could be equivilated with adjusting line lengths and moving pigtails. The problem in the past is a lack of information, bad or wrong information. Thanks to the internet and forums like this much of that has changed. Foil kites are well understood and that continues to improve. I will contend compared to an LEI the bridles could look like a nightmare and be one without the right skills.
