More fuel for the fire. Note the word mast, mat, is used no where.
As for MR MIKE MURPHY ( respect ) as far as my extensive hydrofoil history research goes he gave us our basic design.
If anyone has other info please share.
And yes to bad if if this is true that he was not able to patent, attack to protect , making the money he probably merits!
" their product as the Dynaflite Hydrofoil. The Hydrofoil consisted of two regular waterskis with two struts attached to each ski with a bi-wing design."
After getting blasted with water from the center of the skis, Mike came up with the idea to have Bob move the skis together so that the wash from the spray would be off to the sides of the ski. In addition, they changed the hydrofoil from a double strut to a single strut. This design eventually became a single ski with a single strut.
I see patent numbers on both ideas but when search find not.
Anyone know how to find these patents please?
As for the carbon layup schedule on my beloved snapped STRUT, as I did not make it I do not know.
Enough to say it was built by well known garage builder with tons of experience both in design and fabrication but clamped mold, not vac sack, high mod
carbon with correct epoxy and mixture of bibias and uni with foam core.
