I'd be forwarding those new test results to BWS.
Easiest (and most effective) way to do that is to send them the link to your findings and the discussion around it.

Thanks juandesooka for your advise.
I met a local shaper and surf repair guy today that do that full time for living and he immediately told me that the almost full length of the rail his soft even to pressure with thumb. He made a ding just with thumb pressure.
He mentioned that it looks like there is almost no to no « mesh » at this location.
That was my observation (even if BWS said that it is impossible) but i’m no pro at surf building.
He even don’t want to do the repair as he says that it will crack somewhere else along the rail i soon as i will ride it
I wrote back to the shop i bought it to mention this point. If it doesn’t turn positive, i’ll send this to BWS with a video of ding that i can do with my thumb.
Thanks to everyone for your advise.

I believe Appletree Surfboards (I think they manafacture it) moved their production to Portugal. I wonder if theyve had issues?

Hi
I also had problems with my beloved stallion which never had experienced any hard impact.
I wrote this to the french represensative:
have been riding it for 4 weeks and yesterday I let my son use it and he noticed that the board underneath the front pad was soft.
We took the pads off and noticed that the board had delaminated and built a huge bubble. there was no visible lesion in the epoxy. We drilled a small hole and air came out but no water.
I already contacted our board shaper in Fortaleza and he said he would look at it and try fix to fix it.
Question: have you seen any similiar cases? The board seems where you place the heel a little bit indented.
Will he be able to fix it? Take away the delaminated area and fill it again with epoxy resin and maybe carbon fibres?
Thanks
for any advice you have
greetings from Brasil
Andreas

the bws rep‘s answer was:
Everytimes we had a delamination problem on a Stallion, it came from an infiltration from a small shock / crack on the unrepaired board. The pads doesn’t help sometimes to see a below.

For the repair your shaper really does not need to put carbon, just inject resin and compress.

Best regards

It was fixed in fortaleza. I still love it but unfortunately the board became much heavier.
the guy who did the repair said: the foam
of the board underneath the foot pad was totally compressed. he sugested the company would use a stronger foam composition to better withstand the mechanical forces.
may be I just had bad luck with my board...

Just a follow up on the issue with my Stallion V2.
BWS ask me for a video of the flex on the rail cause by the pressure of my thumb.
I did the video. I don’t know of to link a video to my post, but i would really like to do it and have your opinion on the subject.
There’s a picture tough of the dings resulting from a really gentle thumb pressure.
After the two cracks, the over 20+ pictures sent, the video and a professional opinion that the board has a default in the fabrication process, BWS answer was: « That’s the horror movie, that’s it »
Frankly, that’s the worst after sale customer service that i never had, point!
There is no support of the product and the guy answering to the request is pretty arrogant.
If i’m totally wrong and it’s normal that a board flex and crack with thumb pressure, please tell me!
If it’s easy, let me know of to link my video please, i would like to share it.
Again, feel free to tell me if i’m wrong to believe it’s not acceptable from a brand new 1350 CD$ +tx$ board.

To be honest, I'm not too sure that this reply is negative, could be an attempt at making humour or something, which doesn't always work well with some channels of communication. And Australian humour can be different than Canadian humor, or German humour (or lack thereof). Anyhow, that warrants you asking them what they actually mean with that reply, and see from there.
