Gin is reporting 1720 for Marabou12 so just a little heavier. My experience with single skin Peak4 is that there is lower power spike e.g. when using a loop to start. They don’t go quite as low as the more efficient double skin in spite of flying in very low winds. The real benefits are in riding downwind and more instant depower, more simple packing and less salt and sand accumulation. Perhaps I will fly a Marabou soon.
Yes, more comparisons would be great.

had a good day to play with low end on some kites

the local windsock had a 45 degree bend. (5-10 knot estimate)
wind was at least 6-7 knots(because souls stay at apex).. but not much more

edit: moses 790 wing...rider 180 pounds or so
used 55cm with 25m lines and a ~58cm bar with 27m lines

..could launch 6m FS soul and keep it in air. couldnt get close to getting my arse out the water on 25 lines.
..launch 12m soul on 27m lines.. no problem at apex but whipping it around or trying to loop made it want to back stall.. unable to waterstart but wondering how it would behave on shorter lines in lighter winds

..easy to launch 5m FS peak4. couldnt waterstart on 25m lines but curious how this would work on 30m+ lines (no threat of backstall or keeping kite in air no matter ziping it around)

the 12m marabou does have the lowest range of the kites i own....bc its the only one i could waterstart (on 27m lines)
i'm also wanting to try a wide bar with shorter lines with this...

all that said..
i'm thinking if i the wind is too weak for the 6m soul..i prolly dont need to be on the water.

Wow upwind seems good, stability is good, relaunch looks reasonable. Seems everything it could be it is, so I am excited! I think Ken Winner just wet his nappy. How could any one want a wing with giant board over this setup?

Only thing Gin needs now is a light fabric version!

Thank you for your trust.
My friend is 400km from me unfortunatelly.

But I tried another one 12m, about 2 weeks ago. I think i posted a comment on this topic , no ?

Overall i was disapointed by its low end which is my main target personally for such sizes. Maybe for a heavy rider on wave-hydrofoil in on shore condition for this 12m. Another foiler was happy with its test of the smaller size (around 5m2 as far as i remember).

I must clarify that Gin claimed that there was errors on the bridle sytem mounting on this batch, and gave a procedure to correct this ...
Maybe...

I received an email from Gin yesterday regarding the bridle and how to fix. C Main and B Pulley line were switched. Very easy to correct both sides in 5 minutes. Be methodical if taking the bridle apart.

In the images I have corrected the red side and the mixer is even. The blue side is before correction. A quick mixer test would let you identify a kite assembled incorrectly.

I believe it would be unfair to review the kite if it’s not in proper trim. That said, I don’t believe it will compete with the double skin kites in power spike needed to water start a pocket hydrofoil board in the lightest winds.

Very happy with Gin’s proactive customer service, as they found the problem before I did. They sent an email to affected users with video instructions to fix.
