It is mega reliable system - working also in icing condition /snow kiting/ where lots of cleats just slip.

Note knots - above and below splice - below serve as bar stopper but both knots "stabilize" splice - so splice opening dont widen itself

Tomtom. Thanks for sharing you have obviously saved me considerable development time. I would like to say that if I come up with any improvement I will return the favour but in all honesty I can't see it getting any better!

Thanks again!

Tomtom, thanks for sharing! :thumb:
Have you considered a loop trim? Yes, it might make de-power in one stroke difficult, but should help short handed riders reach the power trim.

How does it attach to your harness?
And how does the safety system work?

I got this kit from Jeff when I was in Corpus Christi, Texas last fall. Bought it for the release, I plan to stick with a clamcleat as I am sheeting in / out a lot with our gusty winds. His trim system is quite similar. Go to 3:30 on this video.

I use ball QR similar to BRM. It is connected to sliding ring on my harness - safety is standart one front line release.
But it is completely independent from safety and QR - you can install whatever you want. Its just trim.

Yea but his system is "standard running splice" without on fly adjustability. My is adjustable on fly - just like any other cleat. Thats big difference IMO :)
